"Summer is gradually drawing to a close. With growing joy, I wander through the pine trees of Versilia and lose myself in daydreams. I wonder if the people who wandered here before me enjoyed the aromatic scent of sandalwood and grasses as much as I do. With every breath I suck the heady aromatics deep into my lungs, where they mingle with the salt fog of home that I always carry around inside of me. A combination, however, that is not yet perfect to my mind, and I turn the problem over in my thoughts. How to combine both in a fragrance? How to capture the scene? Thinking of the things that link my past to my future, I alight on the smells of home - salt, ginger, honey, and mix them with the scents of a heroic future I imagine for myself, meaning aromatic woods, exotic saffron, and the tart tang of raspberries. "
