/L is a seductive, moody, and more than a little addictive blend of fruit notes, sharp herbal notes, and aromatic, smoky resins that eventually steps back to reveal a sumptuously floral heart of violet, magnolia, lily of the valley, and orange blossom. A somber iris appears slowly underneath this sunny floral mélange, casting a melancholy shadow over the scent like that of a rain cloud over water. Refined, buttery, and slightly bitter, the iris note leads into a moody oriental base of smoky resins, incense, woods, and leather. An utter pleasure to wear from start to end.
