Buio by Meo Fusciuni is an Oriental Woody fragrance for women and men. This is a new fragrance, launched in 2024. The nose behind this creation is Giuseppe Imprezzabile, known for his deeply emotional and poetic compositions.
Buio, meaning “darkness” in Italian, explores the journey through inner shadows, capturing the intimate space between light and dark. It opens with a smoky, almost meditative atmosphere, led by cade oil and frankincense, where the resinous and slightly tarry nuances blend with the earthy dryness of carrot seeds. As the fragrance develops, a heart of rich resins and soft florals unfolds—labdanum and amber provide warm, balsamic sweetness, while osmanthus, peony, magnolia, and geranium add a subtle leathery-floral depth. Finally, the drydown reveals a sensual, grounded base of leather, patchouli, vetiver, musk, cedarwood, and sandalwood, evoking the quiet, contemplative end of a dark journey — where serenity meets mystery.
