Grandiflora - Magnolia Grandiflora Sandrine
There are two interpretations of the magnolia flower in the Grandiflora stable; one composed by Michel Roudnitska, and the other composed by the late, great Sandrine Videault. This perfume - Magnolia Grandiflora Sandrine - was composed by Sandrine Videault.
Sandrine's portrait of magnolia is very fresh, with lots of tart lemon to accentuate the lemony characteristics of the magnolia, and aquatic in the heart, so as to emphasize the watery, green facets of the flower. Astringent green herbs and the melony aquatic notes flanking the magnolia make this perfume feel very classically French in the mold of Diorella and Cristalle. It is briskly and diffusively musky in the drydown. Green, watery, fresh, and sultry all at once, Magnolia Grandiflora Sandrine is for men and women who prize a fresh, piquant take on flowers over sweet or creamy.
