État Libre d'Orange - Dangerous Complicity

Consider this a gentler, tamer day-time version of Putain des Palaces. But where Putain comes roaring at you with all its sex pheromones up front and center, Dangerous Complicity is all about the tender, apricot-tinged muskiness of you lover's skin, specifically the nape of their neck, as downy and delicious as a ripe peach. It is primarily a warm, musky, rum-soaked osmanthus scent, but painted in delicate, gauzy watercolors rather than oils, thus creating a rather intimate, skin-like appeal. Opening with a startlingly fiery rum and ginger salvo, the scent flickers and smolders for a second before settling into a milky, peachy floral leather. Osmanthus flower, as soft and wistful as the fuzzy apricot skin it most closely resembles, offers us the tenderness of skin, leather, and tea. Creamy white florals bathe the apricot skin and suede in a soft light, and there is the suggestion of the tropics by way of coconut and boozy ylang. Sun-warmed skin, fruit, salt, and musk - if this is not sensuality in a bottle, then we do not know what is.

Notes: rum, ginger, coconut, bay, calamus, osmanthus, Egyptian jasmine, ylang ylang, lorenox, patchouli, leather, sandalwood, cashmere woods
