Launched in 2024 to honour the Chinese Year of the Dragon, Dragon by Boadicea the Victorious is a fragrance steeped in symbolism and artistry. Its striking bottle features a shield adorned with a dramatic winged beast, complete with horns and a whiplash tail, encircled by interlocking Celtic-style hearts. The dragon, the only mythical creature in the Chinese zodiac, symbolizes power, nobility, honour, luck, and success — qualities that resonate through this bold scent.
The fragrance opens with fiery saffron, cinnamon, raspberry, and peach — a vibrant and sensual introduction. Saffron, one of the world’s most precious spices, lends an earthy, honeyed warmth evocative of nutty basmati rice and aged wooden spice cupboards. The heart unfolds with temple-like wisps of incense mingled with creamy magnolia, golden amber, and romantic Turkish rose, creating a magnetic and luxurious core.
