Burgundy Oud by Atelier Materi is a new unisex Oriental Woody fragrance launched in 2024, composed by perfumer Céline Perdriel. Deep, elegant, and quietly powerful, Burgundy Oud explores oud through a refined, contemporary lens—where fruity brightness, floral nuance, and leathery woods meet in perfect balance.
The fragrance opens with a vibrant yet polished trio of blackcurrant, bergamot, and Guatemalan cardamom. Blackcurrant adds dark, juicy depth, bergamot brings citrus freshness, and cardamom introduces a warm, aromatic spice that sets a sophisticated tone.
At the heart, geranium, magnolia, and davana unfold with subtle complexity. Geranium lends green-floral clarity, magnolia adds creamy elegance, and davana contributes a fruity–herbal warmth that bridges the brightness of the top with the depth of the base.
The base is rich and enveloping, built around oud, leather, and amyris. Oud provides depth and character without heaviness, leather adds smooth, refined sensuality, and amyris softens the composition with creamy, woody warmth.
