Shaghaf by Anfas is a unisex Oriental fragrance launched in 2017, created by perfumer Christian Carbonnel. Deep, passionate, and intensely evocative, Shaghaf—meaning passion—unfolds as a powerful blend of spice, smoke, leather, and resinous warmth, designed for those who embrace bold, emotional perfumery.
The fragrance opens with a vibrant burst of cardamom, ginger, and citruses. Cardamom delivers aromatic spice, ginger adds a fiery freshness, and citrus notes brighten the opening, creating an energetic and confident first impression.
In the heart, the composition turns darker and more sensual. Tobacco brings smoky richness, leather adds a bold, tactile edge, cedar provides woody structure, and cashmeran softens everything with a warm, velvety texture. This stage defines Shaghaf’s intense and seductive character.
The base is opulent and long-lasting, built around agarwood (oud), patchouli, vanilla, amber, opoponax, and tolu balsam. Oud and patchouli ground the fragrance with depth and earthiness, while amber, vanilla, and balsamic resins create a glowing, resinous sweetness that lingers powerfully on the skin.
