Agonist — Dark Saphir is a sumptuous oriental-spicy tapestry for women and men, released in 2013. It opens in dazzling color—juicy raspberry and bergamot laced with a storm of aromatic spices, black pepper, coriander, cumin, and a green flicker of violet leaf—bright, vivid, and intriguing. The heart turns opulent and textural: rose and geranium glow amid carnation’s clove-like snap, powdery iris, jasmine, and orchid, with heliotrope’s almonded softness and a subtle carrot nuance. The dry down is deep and enveloping—smoky oud and earthy patchouli braided with olibanum and guaiac wood, smoothed by vanilla and tonka, and warmed with resinous labdanum for a long, magnetic trail.
