L’Entropiste — Ensang Noir is a modern chypre-floral with a cinematic edge, composed by Bertrand Duchaufour and released in 2025. It opens with a cool, high-contrast shimmer: airy aldehydes fizz over inky blackcurrant, bright coriander, and a crisp slice of cucumber—sharp, green, and intriguing. The heart blooms scarlet and plush, a bouquet of red rose, magnolia, and peony that feels velvety yet luminous. As it settles, shadows gather—incense smoke and birch lend dark resin and char, woven with opoponax, earthy patchouli, and rooty vetiver. A final ribbon of caramel softens the edges, leaving a moody, addictive trail that lingers like a half-remembered night.
