Rivière by Thameen is a unisex Oriental Spicy fragrance launched in 2016, created by perfumer Julia Rodriguez Pastor. Bold, elegant, and richly textured, Rivière evokes the fluid contrast of strength and refinement—where spice, florals, and leather flow together with quiet intensity.
The fragrance opens with a striking duo of saffron and black pepper. Saffron lends a warm, leathery-spiced glow, while black pepper adds sharpness and energy, creating an arresting and confident introduction.
In the heart, Turkish rose, sage, and carnation unfold in a refined balance. The rose brings depth and romantic richness, sage adds aromatic freshness, and carnation contributes a soft, spicy-floral nuance that enhances the fragrance’s complexity.
The base is dark, sensual, and grounding, composed of leather and cypriol oil (nagarmotha). Leather adds smooth, tactile strength, while cypriol brings smoky, earthy depth, leaving a lasting and sophisticated trail.
