The 20th anniversary of the cult actor's death has been the cause for Kinski Productions to license an exclusive tribute fragrance for Klaus Kinski. The escentric outstanding artist has been a perfect inspiration for Geza Schön, creator of the Escentric Molecules Series.
The Scent
The Kinski fragrance is a decadent, extraordinaire scent with the goal to embody the complex personality of Klaus Kinski. An uplifting and dizzying contrast between softer notes of cassis, juniper and dark notes of crazy madness evokated with the magic of castoreum in the head are the openers, which are showing the kind of fragrance we have it to do with here. The excessive site of Kinski is shown by the marijuana accords and the nutmeg which are playing with flowery and fruity subtile accords of the heart. His love of the sea comes up through salty notes in the base, given through Styrax ginger, vetiver and cedar combined with dry herbs. This base notes are resulting in strange but soft wildness - animalic and woody closes the fragrance its pyramid.
Frankly speaking, Kinski is not a fragrance for everyone and everyday. It is a typically love/hate fragrance, oscillating between extremes.
The Flacon
The bottle speaks a clear, simple and bold language. It extracts the essence of Kinskis splintered personality. An image of the actor shows Count Dracula in Werner Herzog's cineastic Masterpiece Nosferatu The Vampyre and visualizes the dark and scary personality sides of Kinski himself.
