J.F. Schwarzlose Berlin - Altruist
Altruist is the result of a cooperation between the master perfumer Véronique Nyberg and the Berlin artist Paul DeFlorian. The Eau de Toilette, which originally appeared as a limited edition, fit so seamlessly into the Schwarzlose collection that the decision was made to make it a permanent feature of the collection, albeit reissued in the stronger concentration of an eau de parfum.
The fragrance composition is characterized by the vivid colors and animation seen in the "created by Paul DeFlorian" collection released in 2015. The green-turquoise brushstrokes of DeFlorian's color universe were translated into scent form by Nyberg as slashes of tingling citrus, aqua marine notes, and pure ginger jungle essence (jungle essence being the strongest and rawest form of fragrant molecules available to the modern perfumer's palette today). Spicy notes of black pepper and nutmeg drench the fragrance in a hot orange hue similar to the pulsating oranges and reds seen in DeFlorian's own palette. Floral notes such as rose super essence and orange blossom absolute are worked into the woody and ambery notes like daubs of oil paint into a wooden canvas, representing a golden sunset in the life of the fragrance. Truly a striking work of art in its own right, this scent is for the lovers of the arts.
