Hierba Nera by Coreterno is a unisex fragrance that explores the darker, more mysterious side of aromatic woods and resins. Launched in 2019, it was created by perfumer Luca Maffei, who crafted a composition that feels smoky, herbal, and intriguingly addictive.
The scent opens with an unusual and memorable trio—cannabis, nutmeg, and bergamot. This combination creates an herbal-spicy freshness wrapped in a soft citrus glow. As the fragrance develops, the heart becomes deeper and more resinous, blending incense, elemi, Iso E Super, cedar, amber, and labdanum. These notes add warmth, texture, and a smoky radiance that forms the signature of Hierba Nera. The base settles into a powerful woody foundation of Atlas cedar, Texas cedar, oakmoss, and oud, giving the fragrance an earthy, rugged, and long-lasting finish.
