Serge Lutens – L’Eau Serge Lutens
Clear -Clean -Pure -If Lutens himself would write this description, it would be an empty site.L’Eau Serge Lutens breaks with every rule of perfumeries art. Lutens entitles this scent as his “Anti-Parfum” and assigns a big meaning to it. The ritual, the romantic by wearing a fragrance is gone in these cold and fast times – That it is all about what the “Anti-Parfum” wants to show up. The scent has the clarity and pureness by a morningly air in the mountains as ideal. Minimalistisc – not opulent. Clean – not squiggly and romantic.
It is a groundbreaking revolution.A perfume which doesn’t want to be one.
The Fragrance:
The headnotes of this clean Fragrance comes up with some light and subtile hesperidic notes, but the aldehyd – like, aquatic and aromatic chords are dominiating it. The following heartnote is opened by the clary sage and is caressed by paraffined blossom leaves borned by fresh, clean oxygen. Soapnotes and musc give the longlasting basenotes the very long lasting “straight out from the washer” – feeling.
The Flacon:
The flacon and the packaging have changed (compared with all the other Lutens fragrances). No more elegant brown tones – the flacon is presented now in grey, black and white in a very clean and linear way. Minimalistisc with an architectural ease the flacon remebers nearly some kind of japanese zen-elegance.
