Nobile 1942 – Perdizione – Fragranza Suprema
Throw caution to the wind and abandon yourself to perdition – we only live once. Perdizione takes us on a heart-stopping journey back to a time when we were young and willing – no, dying – to go on adventures for the sake of our ideals – and ideas. When we were young, everything just felt so much more intense and meaningful. Right? Perdizione seeks to capture that spirit of derring do in a bottle. The scent opens with a burst of fresh, bright bergamot and grapefruit, carried forth on a gust of ozonic air. Slowly, the air around us fills with the heady aroma of Ylang-Ylang and the orangey, honeyed sweetness of neroli and orange blossom. The aroma of unfurling jasmine flowers erupts into the scent, thickening the floral accords with that heavy, slightly dirty-fruity bloom that jasmine has and cozying up to a powdery white musk – a combination that makes our hearts beat just a little faster. It is sensual, but subtle. In the base, a warm, musky cedar and soft vanilla rounds out the scent, and provides a soft bed for the intense floral heart. At this stage, we cannot help but imagine the beaches of our childhood and the eerie smell of driftwood and old artifacts that had washed up on the shore, objects of no value to anyone but ourselves. Take us home again, Perdizione.
