Jean Patou – Collection Héritage – Deux Amours
In 1914, at the age of 27 years, Jean Patou founded the fashion house “Jean Patou, Couturier – Fourreur” in Paris. On the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the brand in 2014, three fragrances from 1925 were re-launched with which the successful story of Jean Patou fragrances once began: Deux Amours, Que Sais-Je? and Adieu Sagesse. Those three perfumes were, by the way, especially created for three types of women distinguishable by their hair colour: blondes, brunettes and redheads …
The green floral fragrance Deux Amours was originally dedicated especially to the blonde women. The theme of the perfume is the joy and excitement at the beginning of a new love:
“Are we to forever remain two courtly lovers whose hands seek one another? I tremble at the thought….”
Deux Amours opens with sun-kissed bergamot and neroli, resting on a delicate bed of rose, jasmine, tuberose and ylang, unfolding their beauty in the heart of the fragrance.
The base evokes memories of a majestic forest, where the scent of sandalwood mixes with resinous, warm styrax facets.
