Etro – Pegaso
The 22th fragrance in the Etro line is called Pegaso. It was inspired by olfactive evocations of the Tuscan and Umbrian countryside, of an Italian garden as described in the epic poem of Ariost… Pegaso by Etro features notes of bergamot, neroli, cedar wood, basilic, benzoin, cistus, pepper and iris.
Pegaso – the myth and legend
Pegaso is a mythological figure composed of earthly elements (the body of a horse) and celestial components (wings, reminiscent of angels) emerged from the torso of the Medusa decapitated by Perseus. As soon as it appeared, Pegasus created – with a strike of its hoof – the Hippocrene spring, whose crystalline waters quenched the thirst of the Muses and gave them their inspiration. Pegaso therefore became the symbol of creativity, beauty and positive energy.
