Editions de Parfums Frederic Malle – Une Fleur de Cassie
Perfumer: Dominique Ropion
A perfume based on the intoxicating scent of the Cassie flower tamed to become a sophisticated though sensuous fragrance that gives its fullest when worn.
The rare and exotic cassie flower is not easily tamed. Intoxicating, bestial, bordering on coarse, its fragrance is from another era: the Thirties, when women dared to wear voluptuous, disturbing scents. Using such old fashioned ingredients as mimosa absolute, jasmine absolute, cassie absolute and rose absolute, with carnation as counterpoint, and a cedar, musk and sandalwood base, Dominique Ropion has achieved a very precise, contemporary translation of this theme from the past. Rich, intricate, complex – like an haute couture gown.
Une Fleur de Cassie was made for connoisseurs…
