Geranium, Cassis, Geranium
Editions de Parfums Frederic Malle – Rose & Cuir
Perfumer: Jean-Claude Ellena
The fragrance opens with a very crystalline interpretation of the Rose – pure, streamlined, modern and uncompromising. A note of blackcurrant, and unique extracts of Timut Pepper and Bourbon Geranium add their fresh and spicy touches.
But behind the azure roars a barely contained storm: Vetiver and Cedar mingle with dark, earthy leather. A mystery that originated with IsoButyl Quinoline – an intense and bitter molecule, now forgotten after being honored by the bold perfumery of the Roaring Twenties. Both shimmering and sober, this floral composition asserts itself over time and reveals a controlled sensuality.
