Amouage – Imitation Man
“An olfactory imitation of the subcultures of New York City in the 1970s. This chypre and leather fragrance embodies an era of bold freedom.”
– Christopher Chong
Imitation Man opens with a lively prelude of cedrat and delicate spices that reflect the colorful multiculturalism of ghetto subculture. In the velvety heart of the fragrance, flowers of iris, violet and Turkish rose revive the moods and colors of the disco era. A base of vetiver and leather, castoreum, patchouli and myrrh creates a smoky atmosphere with animal undertones, reminiscent of the bold spirit of the disco era.
THE FLACON AND THE PACKAGING
With its neon colors, the iconic perfume bottle evokes the unique vibrancy and energy of the “city that never sleeps” – New York. The night blue packaging is a tribute to Andy Warhol’s art movement. The colorful, abstract expressionist design symbolically reflects the cultural melting pot of New York City, while the Topas Aurore Swarovski crystal adds a touch of mysterious extravagance to theflacon.
