Serge Lutens is a visionary French artist born in 1942, whose career spans fashion design, perfumery, hairstyling, photography, and filmmaking. He began as a hairstylist in Lille, soon exploring makeup and photography. In the 1960s, he joined Vogue in Paris and gained prominence, leading to a 1967 commission from Christian Dior to create a cosmetics line. In the 1970s, Lutens also pursued photography and directed two short films showcased at the Cannes Film Festival, solidifying his artistic legacy.
